This assertion now has some caveats. It is the best case for those whose desire to have a round case overrides the annoyance of having to remove the chin rest to their instrument in order to fit it into the case. Also, this case WILL NOT work with our new Don Rickert Lutherie Travel Baritone (Octave) Violin…it is simply too large in girth.

For many customers, our new square cases are a better option.

The Wilderness Guide Backpacker Fiddle Case is a modified fly rod case (as is the Extreme Pochette Case). These cases use industrial-grade tubing lined with smooth, abrasion-resistant nylon, then wrapped in a 1,000-denier layer of Cordura® with a proprietary coating for increased water repellency and abrasion resistance. High-density foam cushions and protects precious instruments. Custom-molded end caps add an extra level of protection. Each case has an adjustable shoulder strap with a molded nonslip shoulder pad. Zippers are custom-molded from a nonslip rubber material for easy access.
