Black hypoallergenic polymer with four superb fine tuners installed...better than any fine tuner you will find, in our opinion. Instruments often sound better with these tailpieces.

Looks like satin ebony and promotes excellent tone on any instrument. It is essentially indestructible (i.e. not brittle like ebony)...it is made of polycarbonate; the same polymer as many eyeglass lenses and, of course, "bullet-proof" glass.

This is our favorite tailpiece for any instrument where a slightly less "classical" look is acceptable to the overall aesthetics of the instrument and where fine tuners on all four strings is desired, for the following reasons:

It makes just about any instrument sound better...really!
The string hooks are located further back from the bridge than a normal tailpiece with fine tuners...this is one of the reasons that it makes the instrument sound better. The other reason for better sound have to do with the acoustic properties of the material from which it is made.
The built in fine tuners protrude on the underside FAR LESS than conventional fine tuners and they provide more accurate fine tuning.
